Laws of Magic: Moment of Truth Review

       The Laws of Magic has been a series that I have closely followed; every time I opened the next book in continuation I felt chills down my spine. Each sentence, each word was engaging, I felt ecstatic. Whenever the plot unfolded, I could feel the tension rising and let’s face it, Michael Pryor is a master of steam punk storytelling. The story was a ride that would take you to places unknown, destroying the barriers of fiction and reality and then leave you there gasping for more as the chapter ends with a question mark.
The story in Moment of Truth was about Albion finally at war with Holmland. Chasing down and stopping Dr. Tremaine became Aubrey’s first priority thus, his decision to enlist. The plot was absolutely breathtaking, especially when Michael Pryor showed us the lifestyle of the military when in a perilous situation in fending off Holmland. Of course, I particularly enjoyed how he made me keep guessing the next twists as he weaved a web of mystery within the plot. Rest assured, all readers will thoroughly enjoy the astounding story sequence as I did.
        The characters have matured drastically in this book as per the need to strengthen one’s body, mind and spirit in the war. I could feel Aubrey’s maturing inner strength as well as intellect throughout the story. My particularly favourite character Caroline Hepworth never failed to amaze me as she kicks the butt of all who stood in her way as well as her bright and witty responses to Aubrey. Their chemistry was fun and tingling in a sense.
        You know, even though this story was supposed to be serious, strict and firm...you just have to love the way Michael Pryor keeps you laughing. The bonds between the characters were the reason for these brilliant and comical responses from them. Michael Pryor you are certainly a man of humour.
There isn’t any proper word that could describe how perfect this book was. It was exciting, funny and a brilliant learning experience. To end this review I just want to say;

Thank you for writing this, Michael Pryor sir!
