Laws of Magic: Moment of Truth Review

       The Laws of Magic has been a series that I have closely followed; every time I opened the next book in continuation I felt chills down my spine. Each sentence, each word was engaging, I felt ecstatic. Whenever the plot unfolded, I could feel the tension rising and let’s face it, Michael Pryor is a master of steam punk storytelling. The story was a ride that would take you to places unknown, destroying the barriers of fiction and reality and then leave you there gasping for more as the chapter ends with a question mark.
The story in Moment of Truth was about Albion finally at war with Holmland. Chasing down and stopping Dr. Tremaine became Aubrey’s first priority thus, his decision to enlist. The plot was absolutely breathtaking, especially when Michael Pryor showed us the lifestyle of the military when in a perilous situation in fending off Holmland. Of course, I particularly enjoyed how he made me keep guessing the next twists as he weaved a web of mystery within the plot. Rest assured, all readers will thoroughly enjoy the astounding story sequence as I did.
        The characters have matured drastically in this book as per the need to strengthen one’s body, mind and spirit in the war. I could feel Aubrey’s maturing inner strength as well as intellect throughout the story. My particularly favourite character Caroline Hepworth never failed to amaze me as she kicks the butt of all who stood in her way as well as her bright and witty responses to Aubrey. Their chemistry was fun and tingling in a sense.
        You know, even though this story was supposed to be serious, strict and firm...you just have to love the way Michael Pryor keeps you laughing. The bonds between the characters were the reason for these brilliant and comical responses from them. Michael Pryor you are certainly a man of humour.
There isn’t any proper word that could describe how perfect this book was. It was exciting, funny and a brilliant learning experience. To end this review I just want to say;

Thank you for writing this, Michael Pryor sir!

Why I adore Meghan from Iron Fey

The strength of women has long been underestimated and undervalued, which then created the absurd title ‘Damsels in Distress’. Meghan takes this archaic and primeval ideal and shoves it down the throats of those who uttered it. She proves to the world that women don’t have to always be guarded and protected in a veil of fortification like that of a fragile china vase. Meghan fought against the Iron Kingdom just as hard as or even harder than everyone else, she had her own weaknesses and limitations that took a toll on her but she still never gave up and continued to fight. Throughout the story she was unselfish and constantly kept the importance of others at highest priority, even before her own. Meghan was also so kind even to the enemy and I truly admire that from the bottom of my heart. Her courage, kindness and noble sacrifice were so powerful it wrenches your hearts. She is also protective of all she cares about, like a fierce tigress. No matter what happened, she never failed to sacrifice herself for others even though they had not given her any reason to. Meghan embodies the true power women hold within them, proving women are fighters, the true knights in shining armour and not frail, timid princesses waiting for rescue upon a tower. Due to this fact, I bow on bended knee to her natural majesty.

(I thought the song suited her, and I edited the picture)

Reviews Galore~

I  might start using my blog to review the books I have been reading, I thought it a good idea since I have so many books to read and I see it as a chance to further improve my writing

Decision made!!

be ready guys!
I am going to post reviews soon :D

Paradox Chronicles~

Paradox Chronicles is continuing with less blocks than I had before (I think this might indicate good fortune), Although, I think the reason I am so full of ideas is due to some much needed hours reading the many books of brilliant authors that needed reading.

Rest assured, Paradox Chronicles: Dawn of Chaos is well underway :)
